Section 8 Housing Vouchers for Eligible Veterans

The VASH Program, based out of the Bedford VA Medical Center, provides Section 8 housing vouchers and case management to homeless veterans with psychiatric or substance abuse histories. 

There are currently a limited number of vouchers available for veterans residing in the Metropolitan Boston Housing Program (MBHP) jurisdiction.   Veterans from any of the following communities would be eligible for the vouchers:

Arlington, Belmont, Bedford, Boston, Braintree, Brookline, BURLINGTON, Cambridge, Chelsea, Everett, Holbrook, Lexington, Malden, Medford, Melrose, Milton, Newton, N. Reading, Randolph, Reading, Revere, Somerville, Stoneham, Wakefield, Quincy, Watertown, Weymouth, Winchester, Winthrop, Woburn, Waltham, Wilmington.
