Charles Leo Simone, formerly
from the town of Burlington, passed away after a long illness at
his home on Tuesday, November 15, 2005. He was 76 years old. Mr.
Simone was born in Rochester, NY, the son of Italian immigrants,
the late Joseph and Rosa Simone. He grew up and was educated in
Boston’s North End. He was a self-employed construction worker
who had knowledge and expertise in a number of construction
fields. Mr. Simone was a veteran of the Korean War. He served
his country in the United States Army from 1951 – 1953.
Mr. Simone enjoyed being around people.
He had a great sense of humor and loved being the center of
attention at any gathering. He loved the water and the beach. He
frequented Hampton Beach and Silver Lake. He also enjoyed
vacationing in Florida and the Tropics. He loved the holidays,
good food, and cooking. He was an avid Patriots fan. He was very
handy and enjoyed working around his home and woodworking. He
was a former member of the V.F.W. and American Legion in
Burlington.
Mr. Simone is the father of Charles of
Orlando, FL, Catherine Simone of Sebastian, FL, Robert E. of
Pepperell, Susan Silva of Groton, Leonard of Townsend, Shane of
North Reading, Shena Simone of North Reading, and the late
Joseph. He is predeceased by his brother, Joseph. He is also
survived by 7 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128,
Woburn side) on Saturday, November 19 at 8:30 a.m. Followed by a
Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, Burlington
at 9:30 a.m. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Calvary
Cemetery, Winchester.
