Obituaries.
    John E. Ryan, Sr., a lifelong resident of Burlington, passed away at the E.N.Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford on Tuesday, February 28.  He was 77 years of age.  Born and raised in Burlington, he was the son of the late Peter F., and the late Frances (Fisher) Ryan; and the husband of the late Gloria (Harris) Ryan who died in 1953, and the late Olive (Meggison ) Ryan who died in 1992.  Mr. Ryan was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.  As a member of Carpenterīs Local #26, he worked as a Carpenter and later as a Supervisor for Lee Kennedy Co. in Dorchester, retiring in 1992.  John is survived by two sons, Peter J. Ryan and his wife Julie of Westfield, John E. Ryan Jr. and his wife Denise of Ludlow; five grandchildren, Phillip, Lauren, Jeffrey, Christopher, and Amanda Ryan; and two great grandchildren, Lily and Lucianna Ryan.  John was predeceased by two brothers, the late Robert, and the late Richard Ryan.  A funeral service will be held at the Graham Funeral Home, 3 Arlington Rd., Woburn on Friday, March 3 at 10:00 am.  Visiting hours will be at the funeral home on Thursday Evening, from 4-8 pm.  Burial will be at the Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Burlington.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimerīs Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472
