Robert W. Ferreira
passed away at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center on Friday
morning, April 21, 2006. He was 77 years old.
Bob was born in Arlington. He was the son of the late Anthony W. &
Alice E. Ferreira. He was raised and educated in Arlington. Bob moved
to Burlington in 1964 where he resided until 3 years ago when he moved
to Nashua, NH. Bob was a veteran of World War II. He served his
country in the United States Army from 1946-1948. Bob was employed for
over 30 years at Helix Cryogenics as a Cryogenic Engineer retiring at
the age of 62. Bob was a motorcycle enthusiast. He was very proud of
his “two seater – sidecar” Honda Motorcycle. He was a member of
a number of motorcycle clubs including the North Shore Riders, IMEA,
and GWRRA. Bob was an animal lover and loved his many dogs. He enjoyed
music and loved to play the Hammond B-3 Organ. Bob was a past member
of the K of C in Arlington. He was also a member of the American
Legion.
He is the father of Robert W. Ferreira, Jr. and Al Ferreira & his
friend Elizabeth “Betsy” Hahn all of Burlington. He is the brother
of Nancy L. Aiken of Winchester and the late Elaine M. Rouke, Paul F.
& William Ferreira. He is the loving companion of Janet L. Scott
of Nashua, NH. He is the former husband of Frances (Rose) Ferreira of
Burlington. Funeral Arrangements will be private. Memorials in Bob’s
name may be made to Saint Margaret’s Building Fund, 111 Winn St.,
Burlington, MA 01803. Arrangements by the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral
